EVERY TIME I DIE Drummer To Sit Out Tour
January 8, 2008EVERY TIME I DIE drummer Michael Novak will be forced to sit out the band's upcoming U.S. tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and PARKWAY DRIVE as a result of suffering "a very painful back injury while slam-dunking a basketball at the park," according to a statement released by the band. "Fortunately, a wonderful gentleman by the name of Steve Bache from HE IS LEGEND will be filling in drumming duties. We hope that Mike recovers quickly and is both behind his kit and back on the court in no time."
EVERY TIME I DIE's tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and PARKWAY DRIVE is scheduled to kick off on January 9 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

EVERY TIME I DIE sold almost 14,000 copies of its new album, "The Big Dirty" (Ferret Music),in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 41 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"The Big Dirty" was produced by Steve Evetts and is "the CD you would compile if asked to make a mix of the best EVERY TIME I DIE songs you haven't heard yet," the band writes in the press release. "Ten-plus tracks that tore from our filthy hands like the creature that jumped out of that dude's stomach in 'Alien'."
